An Intimate Gathering

Hi I'm Rema Merrick --- St Pete local and tiny wedding enthusiast. My husband and I hosted a small wedding at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts with 50 of our closest family and friends. It was intimate, joyful, and deeply personal — the kind of day that felt like us.

We blended our Jamaican and Persian cultures, surrounded ourselves with the people who mattered most, and poured our energy into thoughtful, meaningful details. Because our guest list was small, we were able to go all out in the ways that felt right: creating a one-of-a-kind experience for our guests and a celebration that felt warm, beautiful, and connected.

That experience changed the way I see weddings. It showed me how powerful, memorable, and luxurious a small celebration can be — and how deeply intentional every moment becomes when you keep things close and heartfelt. The Petite Peoni was born from that feeling.
